Global SoL Network Update
Global SoL is becoming one of the largest global network of networks. Also, SoL is becoming a very respected and reliable brand.
Website and social media
Global SoL gets a new website: www.globalsolcommunities.org , which we will be use as main communication and connection tool, together with Global SoL Facebook page: @globalsolcommunities. SoL community events will also be advertised in the Global SoL website.
Global SoL owns the .org, .com and .net domains. They have been transferred to an Austrian hosting firm and connected to Global SoL banking account.
Face talk & dialog sessions
This year, we are testing this dialog format of 90 minutes through the Zoom platform. Sessions will be promoted through social media. Should you have any interest, please feel free to connect trough the link of the event.
Guidelines for SoL events co-creation and co-facilitation
The Board is finishing a guideline document with the following three purpose:
- To enable future events to take the experience to the next level.
- To save time and effort for the SoL teams and local teams that are co-organising the event.
- To nurture, preserve and evolve the SoL way of creating and hosting events.
Revitalizing SoL communities
Over the last three months, the Board Chairman held conversations with New Zealand, Ghana and Chile to launch a local SoL community. Those contacts are encouraged to move forward. Whatever they need from the Board, we shall deliver.
In Europe, we are supporting Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal and Hungary to strength local communities.
In Columbia, Anamaria Aristizabal is supporting the transition to a new Board.
Global SoL 2018 General Assembly
As soon as we get some clarity about SoL autumn events, we will call for the 2018 General Assembly. Most probably, the Board will submit for approval twofold:
- The new Charter which draft will be transmitted to communities on due time.
- The guidelines for SoL events co-creation and co-facilitation.
All relevant information about Global SoL is filed and shared on the Drive.
